Self Care Sunday - Releasing Resistance

Are you resisting feeling good? It’s more common than you think and it can actually block us from everything we truly desire.

Why would we ever resist feeling good?! You might also be thinking “How exactly am I resisting feeling good?”

Here are some questions you can ask yourself.

  1. Do you believe things can come to you easily?
  2. Do you have faith that things flow to you naturally?

OR… have you always believed that your biggest dreams and desires are seemingly out of reach and anything you truly want requires immense effort?

All too often we hold onto fear-based belief systems for safety. Thoughts like “I need to work my ass off to be successful in life,” or “I am terrible at dating,” or “There isn’t enough to go around and I’m not deserving.”. These thoughts are backed by energy of fear and resistance. Our resistance to feeling good is what blocks the good we want in our lives.

Here’s a great tool to help you release resistance and FEEL GOOD! This is a simple Kundalini breath practice. It can be done anywhere, anytime and with your eyes open or closed. When you notice yourself in fear-based energy, practice this technique. You can be sitting at your desk at the office, walking through the grocery store or even stuck in traffic.

Breathe in for 5 seconds.

Hold your breath for 5 seconds.

Release for 5 seconds.

Repeat this pattern for one minute.

It seems so simple, but by changing our breath, we can shift our energy. And our energy is what supports us in FEELING GOOD.

So take one minute for yourself today and focus your energy on releasing resistance and FEELING GOOD.
