Meet Kiteen (@kiteenscloset). This mama from Weyburn, Saskatchewan is a fashion blogger and #swimsuitmodel.
Why did you choose to be a stay at home Mom?
Family is everything! Staying at home allowed me to spend time with my little one and follow my passion, both of which make me really happy.
How would you describe yourself?
I’m not just a regular mom, I’m a cool mom.
What are your hobbies?
I love to sing, play the guitar, blog, talk fashion, socialize with friends, have movie nights with my family, shop, and eat delicious food (especially when I don’t have to cook it!). I’m pretty basic!
What are three personality traits you identify with?
Being organized, genuine, and fun-loving.
What are three words your best friend or partner would use to describe you?
Bubbly, supportive, and determined.
What do you want people to know about you?
That I’m just like them! I love my family, I have good days and bad days, I have insecurities, and I have cellulite. I’m generally happy most of the time, but that’s because I choose to be- not because everything in my life is absolutely perfect.
What are you hoping to achieve with your social following and your relationship with your followers?
I want to spread the message that how you look is a direct reflection of how you feel. And I don’t mean that in a vain way- I mean that if you take time to care for yourself, you will ultimately feel better about yourself on the inside. Oh AND… being young and skinny doesn’t mean you’re perfect. You can be confident and feel beautiful at any age, with any shape and at every size.
How do you hope to connect with, touch, or inspire the people that follow you?
I want my followers to connect with the urge I have to feel confident and be completely OK with who I am. I want them to get excited and feel beautiful in clothing the way I do. Also, I just want to be besties with everyone. We could all use more friends and less enemies. Right?
We selected you for this campaign because they believe your life is aspirational. What do you feel makes your life aspirational? Why did you decide to participate in this campaign?
I’m a stay at home mom living in a small town with hips that don’t lie. I’m living my best life and being unapologetic about it! To them, that was aspirational and something they wanted to share with their audience. I wanted to participate in this campaign because I believe in the message whole heartedly and crave to be part of changing what society views as “beautiful.”
What did you enjoy about working Swimco on this campaign?
OMG. A shorter answer would be what didn’t I enjoy! Working with Swimco on this campaign was literally one of the best experiences of my life. The entire team was absolutely amazing and I feel like I gained some true, long term friendships. It didn’t hurt that I was pampered and photographed all day in one of the most gorgeous locations I have ever traveled to! Definitely did not feel like real life!
Did you discover anything about yourself?
Yes. I discovered I have a true passion for body positivity and helping others feel comfortable in their own skin. I want to show people how to be happy and confident with who they are.
If you could say one thing to someone who may not be confident with their body, what would it be?
LIFE IS TOO SHORT to be anything less than confident, happy, and okay with who you are. You only get one life, so live it how you want and live it well.
