Family Spring Break Destinations

Family Spring Break Destinations

Spring break is the perfect time for getting away to spend time with the family.

Pack your bags and get ready for adventure at some of our dream family destinations. Whether your bucket list includes the sun and activities of a desert, waterparks and kid-friendly fun, or unique animal encounters, there’s something to delight each of your family members on this list for times both in and around the water.

Be sure to bring along sunscreen, UV protective hats, sun-safe swim for women, men and styles for little ones! The last thing you need on a vacation are burnt shoulders and noses.

And if you need some Swimco-family approved tunes to jam to seaside or while road tripping, try our newest playlist (kid-approved by the little ones in our lives).

DESERT GETAWAYS

Palm Springs

Relax poolside, rent a bike to cruise around this mid-century modern town, or take a tour out into the desert in a Jeep. The Palm Springs Ariel Tramway is a show-stopping experience for parents and kids alike!

Phoenix

Play Wild West in Old Town Scottsdale, or watch Cactus League Spring Training games. Little ones might not be ready to play a back nine, but Top Golf is a fun way to practice your swing while still engaging mini-mes.

Las Vegas

You might not think of Vegas as a family destination but there are a lot of gems there for kiddies, like Cirque du Soleil shows, family-friendly resorts with gigantic pools, and for an excursion check out the Grand Canyon.

BEACH ESCAPES

Miami

Another bucket list entry with as much for adults as kids. Safe, sandy beaches and museums can fill your days, while Latin food in Little Havana or free movies at SoundScape Park can fill your evenings.

Puerto Vallarta

This spot is all about fun and sun, from the Boardwalk Malecon in town to Los Arcos national marine park. Try snorkelling, paddleboard and kayaking! You may spot a humpback visiting the area until late March.

Jamaica

Montego Bay and Negril have great resorts and are well established for family travel. Jamaica is all about relaxation, so take it easy in your all-inclusive or try a laid-back bamboo raft tour down the Martha Brae River.

KID-FOCUSED FUN

Orlando

The theme park capital (Disney World anyone?) had to be on this list. But if you need a break from the crowds, check out USTA Nemours Family Zone for a game of tennis, or drive out to Anna Maria Island for chill island time.

Fort Lauderdale

“Venice of America”, water taxi trips are a great way to get around the city’s canals, but be sure to escape to the Everglades! If your child is an animal lover, there are tours with alligators, Flamingo Gardens, or Butterfly World.

San Diego

A classic kid’s holiday in San Diego includes stops at LEGOLAND, the San Diego Zoo, and SeaWorld. But we couldn’t stay away from the beautiful beaches if we wanted to! Head to La Jolla for snorkelling and bodyboarding, or surf lessons.
